Growing up, Demet always had business ideas and was very curious. She started student clubs in school and was elected leader for two of them. After graduating university, she undertook a number of management positions with global companies, working on challenging projects involving new brands and business, expansion of categories and international expansion. All the while, she always shopped online and was passionate about fashion. Demet then went to Harvard Business School for my MBA. After the first year, she saw a huge potential in e-commerce in Turkey. Turkey is a textile heaven with high quality manufacturing opportunities at low costs. She decided to act fast; she built a business plan, got Angel funding, recruited the team and never looked back. She believes that success comes from a combination of passion, hard work, a strong team and persistence!
