Sara Öhrvall is the co-founder of Mindmill Networks, where she works as a senior advisor on digital strategy and innovation. Sara is a board director of SEB, Investor, Bisnode, Umeå University, Nobel Museum, Bonnier Books, Bonnier News and Bonnier Publications. She is also the chair of Pontus Schultz foundation and a columnist in Dagens Industri, writing about technology trends.
Sara’s previous experience includes Bonnier, where she was SVP of Research & Development during 6 years. From 2009 to 2011, Sara was based in San Francisco while establishing Bonnier’s American R&D initiative. Sara was the founder of Ninety, an innovation design studio and she was CEO/Partner of Differ (acquired by the A-com group in 2002). Her background also includes a position as product development manager at Volvo Cars, responsible for product development of niche cars, as Volvo XC (Cross-Country), R- and environmental concepts. She has worked for Toyota in Tokyo and Volvo in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Brussels. Sara has a M.Sc. degree in International Business from Umeå University and has studied Design and Architecture at Parson School of Design, Philosophy at New York University and Management at Duke University.
