Verena Pausder is a forward thinking woman with a drive and passion for the digital world. She has years of solid experience in the Internet industry under her belt and enjoys shaping the future of a digital world for kids. Creating high-quality Apps and being close to the trends in mobile and education motivates her. She won McKinsey’s “CEO of the future” award in 2007, was named the “Top Women in Tech in Germany” and founded the company Fox & Sheep in 2012, which develops and publishes Kids Apps worldwide. The Apps of Fox & Sheep have been downloaded over 15 million times worldwide. At Fox & Sheep, Verena works closely with book authors, animators and illustrators worldwide to bring to life the best Apps for kids out there and help parents guide their children through the digital world.
In 2016 Fox & Sheep also started opening up digital labs for kids, teaching them to code, use 3D printers and learn all about robotics: www.digitalwerkstatt.de. Verena’s goal is to have digital labs in every larger city in Germany by the end of 2018.
In 2015 she started the non-for-profit initiative www.startupteens.de teaching students entrepreneurial skills and letting them learn from role models how to become an entrepreneur.
In February 2016 Verena Pausder was nominated Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in Davos.
She is a supporter of Ashoka and organizes Ladies Dinners across Germany to connect female founders in the tech industry. She is also part of the Female Entrepreneurship Network of the Federal Ministry of Economics.
Verena has two sons (6 and 8) and lives with her family in Berlin.
